You might find the polarizer to be useful for quite a few outdoor/nature uses. The 10x macro filter seems to be okay. Keep experimenting, keep trying new ways to use them...see what they can do. Keep some notes, to see if the lens or focal length used with the 10x closeup filter makes much difference. Keep in mind too, that when shooting close-up images of three-diomensional stuff, the depth of field is VERY shallow, and getting the right focus can be aided by shooting more than just one or two shots. On really close-up shots, sometimes only one or two out of ten frames will have "the right focus", and the others will be really inferior, so it really pays to be free with the clicks when shooting close-range stuff.

Yeah I was surprised with the quality of glass this kit offered. They seem to be pretty good for the money.
