orton technique?

anyone know the best way to do this in elements 5.0?
it's super fun though... here's the first pic that i've played with.

a little too dark and too much blur though

I don't know enough about Elements.

In the darkroom it is done by sandwiching 2 transparencies, both one stop over exposed, one out of focus, the other in focus.

In Photoshop the common method I've seen from a single exposure is to create another layer, use screen blending mode, then flatten. Then make another layer, blur it, use multiply blending mode, and flatten.
