I had been a devout 35mm B/W junkie for years and years . Then I got married, had kids, and the camera disappeared into a closet in favor of a 35mm P/S to document the kids ("Would you stop lugging that big thing around everywhere ....").
Last year the mood struck me again and I bought a 30D (naturally, about 4 months later the 40D came out .... grrrrr) and I jumped into digital having been out of circulation for about 15 years.
I'm having a blast. I like being able to PP without hiding in a dark room inhaling all sorts of nasty fumes. I'm shooting a bit-of-this and a bit-of-that and re-learning all sorts of old techniques that used to be second-nature as well as all sorts of new things.
The whole online critique thing has probably been the best thing that ever happened to my photography.
