Over doing the orton effect!?

if you must use this technique then how about having the blur overlay sharper in the middle and more blurry around the edges. this should keep the god-awful dreamy effect but not overpower the girls features - (by not blowing out the colours and softening shadows)
 
Hmm, never thought of that, Just i want a fantasy feel as it is for a Nails and beauty parlor, This specific one is for the under 12's / teens
i have allot in the set, not finished editing (this must be my 4th revise lol...)
ill upload them all in people photography once done.
 
I find it difficult to accept the bright, yellow forehead that the girl has; the color and saturation level of her yellow forehead is just a touch below that of her shirt; the yellow forehead just ruins it for me.

Agreed, the hotspot on the forehead destroys the image. Its a major distraction for me. IMHO, it shouldn't be any brighter than the girl's cheeks.
