    Finally a lone Male Painted Bunting has been showing up in the backyard for the past 2 weeks. Shot these when I cam home last night. I am surprised he has no mate or fellow Buntings with him

    (didn't comment, but the latest eagle shots are 'kin brilliant. Hoping to see their little heads pop above the nest soon.)

    Excellent photos. Mine like to eat millet. They have to beat up the chipping sparrows first though. My painted buntings are the shyest birds I have ever seen.
