palestine sunbird (and a blooper)

    While I was waiting for these birds this lady came and sat 3 ft away, right in front of a purple flower. I focused on it's wing and wasn't aware of the shallow DOF I'm generating :grumpy:. Could have been my best bird shot.

    I know how you feel. I had a few of those as well and I know how hard it is to get over the missed opportunity. On the bright side, the first picture is really nicely composed and the second, although it could have been better, is still unique enough to stand on its own.
