Welcome Wade. How did you get a pic of a Praying Mantis without it's arms outstretched! Whenever i find one it always tries to grab onto the lens and climb on, so i end up with an in focus head and two blurry arms waving madly as they stretch out.

I got that shot on a fairly cool day and the mantis was sunning itself. It didn't appear to want to move at all, aside from leaning back if I got too close. Only trick was getting its head (which would back up and move forward based on where the giant "eye" was that was looking it over) into focus.
