Hello all. I was seriously considering adding this lens to my collection in the near future. One thing I notice in the fine print is that for Nikon and Pentax, the lens doesn't have an aperture ring "and some functionality may be lost of those cameras".

Do any Pentax/Nikon users have this lens? And if so what functionality is lost? Can't you just control the aperture through the camera, instead of physically changing it through the ring?

I don't have this one but presumably it's the same as using any lens without an aperture ring... in other words yes you can control aperture via the camera. Of course this only works if your camera can control aperture, in other words it'll work fine on your K10D or *ist. I wouldn't bother trying to use it with the ME Super though.

That's what I was thinking. And sadly, I rarely break the ME super out anymore. Anyone else have anything to add to this?
