    Hi,

I have an old Pentax ME Super and it doesnt work anymore...
    I still have the "SMC Pentax-M 1:1.7 50mm".
Can I still use it on the Pentax *ist DS?

i do believe you can. the beauty of pentax is that ALL of their old lenses can be used with new cameras (even the screwmount ones with the right adapter)

because the sensor on the *ist DS is smaller than a frame of 35mm film, your lens will be subject to a 'crop factor', the exact number i'm not sure of. i'm sure it's on the pentax site, though.
