Just received a personal message and I would appreciate it if somehow, these messages had to go through some kind of filter before being sent out. The message I received was for a porn site.

Yeah either new members or people with low post counts. Kinda weird. Brought a lot of lurkers out of the shadows thats for sure.

I'd noticed that too. Or more specifically, they are people with low post counts, even if they joined a while ago (like the OP in this thread). Anyhoo, it seems the mods/admin/spamcops were all over the spammer(s) and have banned the offenders, so hopefully normal service has resumed!

Thats what I noticed last night. All the newbies seemed to get hit. I have never had any spam, porn. Glad the Mod Squad has got a grip on this

But on the good side, I noticed there was at one time something like 399 members on line. Too bad it was not a potm voting, or a contest voting reminder. Got people lookin here, and they all looked like newbies. :mrgreen:

Many of them were longtime members who hadn't logged on in a while, but came back because they got an email notifying them of a PM.
