Hey guys, finally got my dog Max to stay quiet for 2 minutes and did a portrait of him.

f/5.6, ISO 1600, A/5, PP to B&W

Very cute, but needs a bit more brightness... contrast... something... maybe both. :)
 
Increase the contrast.

Reduce the noise ... did you shoot at a high ISO ?
 
Yeah, it was shot at 1600. On a D60: Yikes!

How are you converting to B&W?
 
It look s good how it is now...but you could make it brighter, and if possible, remove the grain.

Yea the iso is realy high. Im still getin use to d camera. lol. Converted using the B&W mixer in cs4. Thanks for the comment
 
Ok I tried doing some editing based on the responses and this what i have done.

I brightened the image and tried getting ride of the noise in the background by soften it a bit.

The brightening alone i think makes the image alot better.

Is it any better than the first? C&C please.
