ZA and avast! they no like each other

Did you upgrade Windows at the same time? The latest fix kill(ed) ZA and stopped your internet from working. The best way to sort it all out is to re-install ZA.

Everything on my system was upgraded, its a new system

its a known problem with ZA and Avast! on vista, it will no doubt be sorted in a few weeks/months but in the mean time I have to use AVG

ZA fixed the problems that were caused when Microsoft updated windows and stopped ZA from working in one mode, can't remember what mode that was in but that was fixed about 3 days after the windows update.
