Wow!

This morning when I wrote the OP, I wasn't sure if anyone would find it of interest. Looks like my fears were misplaced. Of all the responses, I'd like to comment on one: Fred Berg's 'good camera' reference.

Some years back, after a few of glasses of plonk, I responded to that sort of comment with a vow to take some pictures with a disposable camera which, in terms of impact, would be just as effective as those taken with a top-o-the-line 35mm rig. While doing so [considering the constraints on exposure, etc.,] wasn't exactly a box of Godivas(r) I was pleasantly surprised by the final prints. I matted them up and mixed them in with some of my 35mm stuff. Seen from sufficient distance so that the difference in the sharpness of the images wasn't apparent, the disposables held their own. I offer this as an interesting exercise for anyone who's feeling a bit bored with using his/her present gear.
