Photoshop Actions/Processing

Hello all,

I have been very interested in photography for several years and after much practice and finally learning some basic editing with Photoshop/Lightroom and incorporating some Actions. I have alread started developing my own style and I am not in any way wanting to straight copy someone else I am just very curious to how some photographers seem to get these very clean and crisp photos. I understand that a lot of it has to do with the actual photography side and editing is only there to improve already great photos but if anyone has the knowledge of what type of editing or what actions may have been used to achieve these types of photos I would greatly appreciate the input! Well, an easy way to get you close to that look is: duplicate image, then set blending to screen then lower the opacity to around 40% ish.

The images in that gallery are great* they are just clean well exposed images with pleasing dof and clean backgrounds. The photographer pretty much knows what she's doing and how to light a scene. I doubt many action/presets were used in her shots.

* where she fails is that rediculous skin smoothing. Yuk.
