Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
Hi all,

Well I just upgraded from my canon 20D to a canon 40D.

With my canon 20D I would import my RAW photos straight into iPhoto and go through the ones I wanted etc, then open them up in CS3 for editing.

Since getting my canon 40D I can't import my photos into iPhoto and CS3 doesn't recognise the RAW files from the 40D?

What is different about the RAW files from my 40D to my old 20D?

Thanks for any help. I need to get this sorted ASAp. :meh:

Get the updated cameraRAW plugin for CS3.

The camera is brand new, and probably is not supported by either program yet. You'll have to watch for program updates. For CS3, the camera raw plugin will be updated to support the 40d, and you'll have to download it once it's available. It might be already. I don't know.

Thanks for the heads up guys, I have scoured the adobe website for an update but i havent been able to turn anything up, not to say that its not there its just that i couldnt find it, if someone has a minute to check that would be super!!

Thanks alot guys!

Matt is right, every new camera's RAW files are a little different and all the software has to be updated. Be patient...the updates will be avaliable soon.

The update you are looking for at Adobe is called 'Adobe Camera RAW'.
