Photoshop elements 7, can this be done

I have an object " chipster " ( it is actually a wine stopper in the shape of a chipmunk ..and yes there is a story that goes along with this )
What I want to do is super impose " chipster " into a number of photo's without him being in the original photo.
Can I take an individual picture of " chipster " and then place him into another photo using Photoshop elements 7?
What would the best way to do this? I would also like to make him bigger and crop out part of the object. Is this possible with PSE 7?
Any advice would be nice. This is one of those things that gets started well into the morning hours....

Should be fairly straight forward; select the object you want, copy it and paste it in to the second image as a new layer.
