    Thanks for the comments all. Sounds like Ive got a couple of keepers, as for the chess shot, I did a series of those, but a few I wanted to reshoot (this one included) cos the dof I was getting was too shallow for me.

    Great shots, as you have already said, the dof of the chess piece could use some widening.. it would be nice to get both chess pieces in focus.. or atleast one full piece in focus and the other off a bit. I would have the fallen piece a bit behind the clear one and leave the fallen one subtly out of focus to emphasize its defeat perhaps.
