picnic in the night

You are on to a good photo. The problem I see in this frame is the background. It is super distracting. I try and keep in mind that the eye immediately goes to the brightest point in the shot.

This photo seems to be divided into two halves that have little to do with each other: the very quiet wooden bench and table (on which I do miss signs of a picnic, after that had been mentioned in the title), and the seemingly busy (lots of light!) background. It's hard to decide where to look (and yes: I do miss the picnic on that table!).

yeah those lights at the top distract me as well...i think i just need more practice shooting non-landscape night shots
