I like #1 but you should brighten it up some. Its kinda underexposed.

"Messing around" in what way? Opening up the aperture and going into your little subjects as closely as you can or did you take it off and turn it around?

I like the close-up on the baseball (assuming it is one, which I - being German - might get wrong )

LaFoto.. I guess messing around as in not shooting much macro.. I bought this pretty 50mm and hardly use it..
