Hello All,
I am new to this site and also to photography. I have always been interested in photography, but never had the time to take it up. Anyway, I bought a new digital camera and took some pictures last week and would like any of your feedback.
These were taken with a Panasonic DMC-FX07.

I like the last one best it seems to be the same compositon as a lot of landscape shots I see here. It is simply an urban landscape. It is well composed.

The first one I don't like near as much. there is nothing tieing it to the ground and the right side seems to have a lot of blank space which makes it feel out of balance to me.

The second one would be better if it were cropped on the right side at the end of the x beams. The part to the right on them is distracting and addn nothing.

Just one opinion.

Thanks Mysteryscribe....two things though.

1. when you say, "there is nothing tieing it to the ground" is it always necessary to do so?

2. "the right side seems to have a lot of blank space which makes it feel out of balance to me." What I was also trying to capture in this shott was the clouds -but i missed it - would that have made a difference?
