Polarizer question...

How do you use a polarizer on a lens that twists to focus? Like the kit Canon 18-55. The front twists around whenever you're focusing, and will mess with the polarizer.
 
Lock focus then turn the polarizer to suit the situation.
 
It still makes me wonder why they would do that... :-(
So they can sell more expensive lenses that don't rotate when you focus them :lol:
 
Actually, I doubt that is the reason. It's more likely that they design lenses that turn because they are cheaper & lighter. And to be competitive with an entry level SLR, you need to include a lens that is cheap and light.
