Poppie fields

    I had to get into the middle of the field for these and the crop was at over hip height

    felt like a kid again, waiting for the farmer to shout 'oi you get arf my land'

    But they are only growing in this one spot, all the fields around don't have them either.

    Those always remind me of World War one... It is the flower that grows in flanders they say over the graves of the dead soldiers there. I've never seen it but I used to buy the poppy the DAV sold on what was armistus (spell wrong I expect) day. That is what photography does best I think, tweek the memory.

    I love the second one the isolation is very apt for a red poppy. :D:D

    #2 has really nice detail and focus.

    Beautiful view! I've seen the odd one in gardens, but never a whole field like that. The second shot is sweet, with the selective focus.

    Thank you, the more I look at them the more I like them.

    think i might even print no1 out and frame it
