Hi all

My first post here..

I was wondering if anyone can give me advice on starter equipment for doing portraits. I have Canon XSi with 18-55mm, 50mm and 20-90mm lenses.
What kind oh flash should I go with (just for beggining) and where to find ussefull tips for lighting in portraits?

A 430EX or a 580EX for the speedlights.

And there are a million websites and books on portraiture technique. Hit up a Barnes and Noble and just read, you'll learn lots that way.

as far as lenses... A couple of good ones are 50mm and 85mm I personally use a 70-200 2.8 a lot.
