I've taken this portrait which I'd love some C&C

I also have some second thoughts about the croping. I've just made a closer crop closer to the face and eyes. Will this work better for the photo? What do you think?

IMO, second crop is really inferior to the first image.
The vignette is detracting.
Except for recovering some of the too-bright highlights on her forehead and her hands , I think this is a nice friendly warm rendition.
Lovely smile and look.
Very nice conversion and tone

Thank you for your opinion. So I should keep my original uncropped one
Your are right about the highlights .. I have just noticed them on the laptop.. my desktop PC monitor didn't display them as highlights. I need to calibrate this monitor

I also prefer the first. I agree with above that the clouding/vignette takes away from it.. I would lose that.

without the vignette the hair and the background will have similar dark tones.. and this would not help with the seperation from the background.. I will have an other look when I'll get back to my computer on the next days and check if I can just lighten a bit the background without the use of white vignette..
