I like it ... I think the shadows on his face lend themselves to the 'brooding' mood of the shot ...

I'm not the most experienced on here but I say good job!

Thanks it was shot with 2 strobes 1 right and one left and behind. I think I achieved the desired effect.

The pose and emotion is certainly there. The light makes me question what the "desired effect" was. I think more emphasis should be directed to homeboy's face. A couple of well placed bounce cards could open those nasty shadows. Also keep in mind that hands are just as important as the face; especially in powerful shots like this.

I agree... the pose is good, but a bit more attention to lighting. The hat, being the lightest area in the photo does draw attention. Consider a dark hat and, if available, a bit of light on the background for depth and separation. Very nice! Wish I did it!
