Still a newb at this, have been hired to shoot a church photo directory. No nice backdrops in the church, and I don't have any either.

I know there are different programs out there that will insert backdrops in for you, I've seen some for PC, but I'm a mac user.

Any ideas?

Maybe??? Its a little expensive though.

You still need a background to shoot against. Some kind of chroma key. Trying to do this digitally without proper equipment is not the answer. Take the people outside under a tree, or on the front steps. It would really be great for you to get a flash off the camera. The on camera flash is not going to give great results.
