Practicing my macro

I'm not that great at taking pictures yet since I wasn't able to until I got my new camera for christmas, but I love macro pics. So here's 2 that I took today. I'll probably be taking more throughout the day, so I"ll post those if I get any more good ones. What do you think? Any suggestion on how to take a better macro pic? Thanks

That first image totally rocks!!! Mind if I steal your idea?? My son's Strat is a beautiful thing, and I might have to hunker down and try this angle....great job!!!

nope, i just have a tic tac toe game made from brass peices, and those are two of the peices with the rest of the game in the background

Its funny how I developed a picture almost exactly the same as that first guitar picture yesterday. I looked at yours and I was like wow, that guitar looks familiar. I also own a Gio Ibanez. Im pretty sure thats what i read yours as also...?
