I really like the loghting on shots 1 and 2. The cheek highlight on #3 looks over-exposed to me. Better? Maybe more detail in the blacks from reflector fill, or from software dodging or fill light. Maybe some more color-matching of the flash light and the warm, yellowy sunlight in 1 and 2 would help make these better. For most people, these would be considered very nice results. A little bit of subtle tweaking in the flash/ambient light temp or levels could really alter these. Overall, pleasing, but as stated, a little, subtle tweaking could change these and make them even more impactful.
Got out and practiced some today but man it was HOT.. I can tell in some of the pics she was about to kill me.
But man.. I love getting out and shooting.
Agreed, the key light is low, and slightly unflatteriung to this lovely woman's features...light is just too low...However, the "quality" of the light is nice! That box, with that flash, at those distances, gives off very appealing light!
Yeah, I noticed that it was kinda low. I do like this light and this octabox but my cheap stand kinda worries me. Definitely gonna have to get something with some strength to it.
View attachment 144039 Got my 135mm f2 in today and I love it so far! Was getting dark when I got home but we are going camping for a few days so I will have a chance to play around.
Wow.. I suck at posing. Lol
I just go blank when I get out there, I'm like.. "play with your hair." That's my only move lol
Guess, I need to look at posing videos.
You are going to LOVE that Canon 132/2-L...it is one of the best lenses they've ever offered as far as being a pure shooter! The lens is just so,so wonderful in so many ways...size, weight, design, optical performance, flare-resistance, contrast when shot against or into bright light, rendering, bokeh, and results delivered!
