Finally got my new(old) AE-1 body yesterday and decided to go out around town for about an hour today to snap off a roll of film
I still couldn't resist taking my digital though so I could mimick the shots I took on film so I would have an idea of what the negs will look like when I get them back (besides who wants to go shooting without the "chimping" factor?!) Ok so I took all the fun out of it :blushing:
Here is an exact (or as exact as it could be) copy of what I shot from the AE-1, which was loaded with "cheater" cheapo ISO400 Kodak B&W 35mm C-41 print film (Ewwww) and set to 1/1000 @ f/9.5 using a Canon FD 50mm f/1.8
This particaular shot is from my 10D @ ISO400 1/1000, f/9.5 using a Sigma 24-70mm f/3.5-5.6 HF Aspherical zoomed in from the same spot until the crop was the same as the AE-1, then desaturated in PS and resized.
I know it is a pretty typical BW shot but I did some scouting for tomorrow and should get some much better ones
