Problem with my camera, again. EOS 40D

Just got my 40D a month ago and I have to take the lens in for repair.
The barrel is loose. You aim to the ground and the lens turns so the end is
farther away from the body. So it has to be tightened. (duct tape) Turning it should be tighter than it is now. It must be sent in. (for free) but no camera for 2 weeks! Arrrrrrrrrrrrr Also they want the body with the lens because its
is sold as a "set"! What's a photography to do??............
Any other people know on the same problem??

hmm lol I have the similar problem with my lens which is a EF-s 17-85. but its not as loose as yours lol it only extend of itself when I carry the camera it on my shoulder and the lens would extend on its own when Im walking around. kinda annoying though.
lmao the back LCD on my camera broke three days after I got it and I had to return it for repair and was without it for two weeks as well, sigh, so I know how you feel man
