Can others edit my Photos
Photos OK to edit
hi all,
i'm a n00b here, but i wanted your guys' opinion on something. i'm supposed to transfer these photographs and digital paintings onto watercolor paper and possibly even wood or any other surfaces.

do any of you know any good techniques for doing this? is there some kind of image development i can do using weird chemicals or something? any help would be greatly appriciated.

thaks,
-justin

For watercolor paper, you could just get a digital file of the artwork (scanned, from digital camera, or whatever) and make a Giclee print::

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giclée
http://www.ligiclee.com/services/gicleeprinting.htm

(Basically, pigments sprayed onto water color paper controlled by computer...like a high priced ink jet printer)

I haven't tried any giclee printing companies, so I can't help you with who is best. Do an internet search for "giclee", and call several of the companies that come up.

They might even be able to tell you how you can get the images onto wood.

for wood and other surfaces, check out Liquid Light, it is a chemical process that basically is an emulsion and is handled in a similar fashion as silver printing.

thanks for the tips. i'm going to try some of them this weekend. i'll let you know how they went.

does anyone have any more ideas? i'll take any ideas that i can get!

thanks again!
