Product-esque Cologne shots

I had the day off today, and I've been meaning to try out my gels so I figured I would go for some product like shots. Thinking back I should have taken a shot of my setup because I know some of you guys like that kind of stuff but I'll try to explain it:


*Caution: If you don't care about off camera flash, skip this next part *
Sony F42 on 1/4th power shot through a CTB gel at the background
285hv on 1/4th bare at background
Silver reflector in front to throw some light back on the cap




I think I like the first one better but I'd like to know what you think.. Oh yeah and I know it's half empty, that really bothers me...

question - why 2 flashes thrown on the background?

With only one flash it was throwing off a light that was too blue, and when I took the gel off, the bottle became almost transparent, it didn't really have any color to it, so I added in the other flash to offset the first one

number 1 is far better, colour is more attractive and detail is crisp. Would have been better to lower the liquid so that the line gave a base to the tree. (waste of cologne I know).
