Pug + Beagle =

Finally found time to try out my D300. Just a simple portrait of my dog Oliver to test out of the box/auto quality (other tests to follow). Lots of functions to learn and understand on the new camera, but it's going to be fun I think.

P.S. How does this photo look on other peoples monitors? It looks good on my MacbookPro screen but looks really dark on my Windows desktop. Not sure which one has the correct color profile.

Cute puppy! It is just a LITTLE bit dark on my Samsung, but not that bad.

I say a bit dark on my HP, but good detail and color all the same. Hes a cutie to be sure.

I've got a puggle too! Some of the cutest dogs ever. Nice portrait. Mine never stayed still long enough for me to get anything more than a snapshot when I was lucky.

Fast AF on the D300 helped a lot, he only stayed still for a few seconds. Thanks for the comments and feedback. I'm thinking my Mac may need re-calibrating.
