question about photoshop features

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos OK to edit
    is there that thing that shows all the highlights that are completely white? i forget what it's called. i know its in the nikon cameras and blinks. im using ps7. sorry for so many short sentences and awkward sentencing overall :confused:

    do you mean the histogram?

    Canon cameras have that and it blinks where the image is overexposed. Not sure if PS will blink but i know the program has a histogram feature

    Yeah, not sure if that's a native feature of PS, though someone might have written a plug-in for it.

    Good shout - i should have said - that instruction is for CS2

    open up a levels layer

    hold down the alt key and grab the right arrow (just under the histogram)
    as you slide it slowly to the left, the brightest areas will show on the image

    ACR has a similar feature... When adjusting exposure or shadows hold down ALT and it will show the parts of the image that are clipping.
