Question about using Macro setting for Rebel Xs

    Can others edit my Photos:
    Photos OK to edit
    Is their a benefit of using the Macro setting (Canon Rebel Xs) ? The downside as I can see is, that you can't shoot "Raw" with this setting selected. So why use it? Should I use it? ... I haven't been

    Which brings me to another question,( that I suppose only Canon can answer) why the H cant you shoot Raw in macro? :grumpy:

    You can't shoot RAW in any of the automatic settings. My guess is that Canon assumes that those that tend to shoot in automatic mode won't need/know much about RAW so they automatically set the format to JPEG for those. Just a guess though.
