After much discussion with friends, I decided to download the trial for PSE, again, and give it another go. (been using Gimp).
One of the first things I found that I use, that is in GIMP, is either not in PSe, or I can't find, is the little "pick color" animated tool. Can someone guide me through how to do this in PSe? I use it mostly to pick a color off of a skintone, then use the airbrush tool in gimp to smooth things out a little.

    Thanks ahead,

    J.

I think you are looking for the eye-dropper tool. It should be in the tool bar...it may be buried under one of the other buttons.

When you're using a paintbrush, the Alt key is the shortcut for the dropper. That will sample colors.
