Question for techies... problems logging into forums.

IE and Firefox do share some offline files which he hadn't touched, hence going through all the general tab options rather than just the delete cookies bit, the cookies shouldn't be a problem really but I'm wondering about inherant permissions relating to cookies being picked up by firefox on the install (I use Opera so I'm not too sure of the firefox install). Hope it's not though as that might mean playing about with regedit which is a real pain, esp. for someone who isn't a techie!

Nah. I have firefox and it doesn't pay any attention to IE. Yes it does use the same folders but thats all. I gave him all of the folders to clean out, and I doubt they would be in the offline folders.

Yea, I didn't think about spyware. It probably would affect both Firefox and IE. He can log into here ok though... (I think)
