quick flash question

I have a Nikon N80 and I noticed that there is no connection for a flash cord in order to take it off the hot shoe. I was wondering if there was anyway to use a flash with this body that is not in the hot shoe. I know on my old Minolta SRT201(which I usually use if i'm using flash) does have a connection. I'm not too familiar with the technical side of flash equipment.

actually i think i figured this out I found a catalog with the hot shoe adapter. I'm pretty sure thats what I mean. Sorry to waste a post.
