So I am becoming increasingly nervous for my first wedding shoot this Saturday!

I meet with the BRIDE tonight to go over the shots I want to do, and I realize something... I DONT HAVE MY LIST!

Moooooooonths ago a nice gentleman on this group sent me a list, and was nice enough to customize it for me even, but ive had a computer crash since then and even though I THOUGHT it recovered... IT DIDNT!

Can someone help? Anyone got a list?

Shouldn't it be about the shots that 'She' (they) want you to get...rather than the shots that you want to get? Start with a list from them, and go from there.

I know...there are, of course, things that you will want to get...that won't be on their list. Don't worry too much, when the day comes, your instincts will kick in and you'll do a good job.

Guess what? You asked my question for me! I am doing my first wedding on Sunday! It's for free - a young couple that wouldn't otherwise have anything but family point and shoot pics. But good for me to practice nonetheless and I'm happy I can help them out!
Good luck to you with yours!

The only way I could agree with this is to say don't go overboard with the promised images. Try to keep the pre-wedding list of required shots to the very favorites but shoot as much as you can. If you are a begunner and from your post I am assuming you are you should shoot as many images as you can without going overboard in each group shot you have a range of people who could blink have a weird expression or whatever you want to make sure you get that shot.

Stay away from a list!!!!! It will be a pain in your butt.
    Start with his entire family.
    Take out cousins, Aunts-Uncles
    Take a few more
    Remove Grandma.
Take a few more, take out bro and sis.
    Repeat with her family
    Then the entire bridal party
    his side
    her side
    just the two of them

    Done!

I agree with this as this is what I meant. If there is a list that you are looking at, don't try and get every one! Get the ones the couple want first and be ready to shoot as much as you can. Remember the important ones like the exchange of rings, the kiss, the signing of the register, cutting the cake, the first dance etc etc. Some can be done after the ceremony if you miss them.

Above all try to have fun and your subjects will be more relaxed and have fun too.

    Cheers
    Jim
