I need a quick release clamp for my monopod. I have Arca style plates on my camera and on my long zoom to match the Gitzo QR on the tripod that I bought cheap on e-bay. I can't afford another one of those for my Bogen Monopod (they're really steep) and am debating between Kirk and Really Right Stuff.

Recommendations? RRS is more expensive than Kirk.

Yeah it sure is. Do you know anything about the Kirk which is cheaper?

Sorry, I though that Kirk had come out with something like the tilt head from RRS that I posted. My error. The Kirk clamps are fine. I prefer the knob type to the lever type however I would personally have reservations about the super quick release type that only require a 1/4 turn. Keep in mind, I have not used that particular type, just a personal concern.

Acratech also makes good stuff.

As does Markins

If you are looking for the leveling feature however, Markins is a bit goofy in the respect that they put their bubble level in the release itself. Kind of hard to use when a body or lens is attached.

Cool. Thanks for your help. My Gitzo is a knob type, but outrageously expensive (I got it on ebay, but still not cheap). I prefer the knob to the lever. I don't have a bubble on it ... I have one that fits in my hot shoe, but it would be a nice feature. My biggest lens is a 100-300 f4 so it's not HUGE, but heavy enough (I'm not sure I could deal with anything bigger on a monopod anyway -- would have to pull out the 3021).
