I've been to the track (dirt and road course) and photographed Motorcycles before so is it really different photographing a bicycle race? Yeah, while they aren't as fast as their two wheeled motorized friends, they are still challenging to get a good shot.

1) Went for a different perspective here, on top of a parking garage shooting down on the peloton.

2) Panning from the outside corner of the turn.

3) Same location, turn 1 of the closed course.

4) Panning from in front of the riders is so much harder.

Nice set Ron; great work on the panning!

Thanks John. Was working the shutter speeds from 1/60 to 1/200 of a second trying to get different amounts of blur and motion. BTW, 1/60 of a second is very hard to pan with the subject coming more at you than from side to side.

Very nice, Ron!

I'd think so.
