I read a lot of UK Press photography magazines as well as a good deal of American but I really enjoy the UK printed ones better with the exception of the stand price. Anyway, on with my point. A year ago I was turned on to a program called Raw Shooter 2005 and now there is a Raw Shooter 2006. I am and have been a graphic designer and artist for approx 11 years now and am well seasoned with Adobe Photoshop. I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 for a good deal of my post processing digital image editing but for RAW these days, I ONLY and exclusively use Raw Shooter 2006 by Pixmantec. You can download a trail version on their web site. Use the link above.
Raw shooter now only gives you much more flexibility then Adobes latest Camera Raw, it gives you a much simpler and powerful workflow process. Give it a try and I bet you will never switch back.
