RAW to jpg or png ? (not for web images)

Apparently you have not heard of JPEG vs 9.1. 12 bit color and can be lossless.

At my lab we only print from J-Peg, TIFF or PS 8-bit sRGB files. So as far as printing goes you can not use a PNG file.

I myself would want all 3 files on hands for future use.....Raw to TIFF, then PNG or J-PEG.

But what do I know......I shoot film.
