What are the pros/cons of shooting in each? Can PS edit raw or do you need LR?

There are a ton of sites you can find on Google and I doubt there's a digital photography forum that hasn't hashed this at length and the threads can be found with a search. I seriously doubt anyone would have anything new to say.

I'll be sure to search for threads. Thanks for the tip.

Make it easy on you. Do a forum title search for RAW:

    http://www.thephotoforum.com/forum/search.php?searchid=2279178

I'm not sure if this type of pasted link will work but if it does you'll get threads like "Why is RAW so great?" "Shooting RAW?" "Another RAW vs JPEG thread" and endless discussions on the matter.

i shoot both depending on the situation, but 75% of the time, I'm using RAW due to its ability to be improved in PS
