Raynox 250 on Panasonic FZ28?

I've seen reviews from people who use this macro lens on their FZ28, so I ordered one for myself expecting it to fit and... it doesn't. The threads on the lens itself are too small and the "universal adapter" provided (spring-loaded) is too large to hook to my lens itself.

What am I missing? Is there another adapter I should use? How do people use this lens with this camera?

do you know the front thread size for your camera? IF so search ebay or amazon for a stepdown ring - that will let you mount a larget sized filter/adaptor onto a smaller sized lens thread - make sure the smaller thread size on the ring is the same as your filter thread size and that the large thread size is compatable with the Raynox.
