Trying to learn settings so I'm starting to look at the EXIF info out of curiosity. I've discovered that my editor (PSP X2) doesn't read all the EXIF info it should.

So my question is: is there a free utility out there on the Web that accurately reads EXIF?

TIA :)

it works from my end.

and, i recommend this to my students all the time. very slick , free piece of software.

You could try the EXIF viewer from Opanda. CLICK.
I tried again, and with two different browsers, still no luck getting in. All I get is a "Problem Loading Page" error.

Sounds like a nice utility. Can't wait to try it :)

Try this one...

Sometimes you wont see all the information in EXIF. It just depends on what info the camera is set to display.
Just stuff like the ISO setting. It shows up in the camera, but not in the editor: it shows as "unknown."

If you happen to be on a Mac there is a little utility called EXIF Viewer that is OS based and works pretty well for getting all of the EXIF data out of the image...

Otherwise, for in-Firefox viewing I use an Add-On also aptly called EXIF Viewer (current release is v1.45) that does a great job also.
Just had a "dooh" moment... I installed the addon and it had me restart Firefox, and I lost this post! It's easy enough to use, but after looking at about a dozen shots from different dates and the like, it is telling me every shot was:

1/400 shutter
80 ISO
and f9.7 aperture!

So that one's not doing something right...

(No, not running a MAC; running Win XP Pro)
