"Reading" please C&C

    Grab this shot of my cousin reading, should have prepare the background a little better but other than that, what do you think?

    In my opinion, the shot does nothing for me, i think the background is way distracting, the f/stop is too high, the lighting isn't great. The subject is cool, kind of intense, but some more lights could fix that, or less lights, i'm not sure, you shot just with daylight im guessing :p. The apple is distracting but i dont think you could of fixed that.

    What im trying to say is that i wish there were less distractions.

    thanks for the comments guys!! Yeah, I wasn't sure about this shot, the original intent to capture just her and make every else dark. I bounce the flash of the wall to the left with 1/400 shutter. I think part of the problem is that on I'm not a calibrated screen, the picture look kind of warm to me, I actually make the white balance a little colder and desaturated a litte but I guess it was over done.
