Hello. This is my first post here. I hope to meet new people and learn new things. I recently tried to take a normal photo, and transform it's mood to something completely different.

I tried to make the subject stand out from his suuroundings, so the colors being different on and near him is intentional.

I also like the irony of the statement on the shirt and the emptyness of the sky. It makes you think, if you even notice it.

    Any comments/critique/suggestions appreciated.
If you have any idea feel free to edit it and repost. Thanks guys!

very nice shot, and well converted. i like it quite a bit, and cant think of anything i'd do to change it.

that conversion style (and his shirt) look quite familiar. are you on FM?

i like the treatment a lot, but would clean it up around the subject. i think the process worked to help make the subject pop but it's left a halo around him that's a little distracting. i like the message ;)

I've tried reducing it but when i take it away the photo doesn't read the same to me. Maybe I'm doing it wrong.

this is what it's all about...what you feel. you're not doing it wrong, that was just my opinion.

    great shot either way!

Different in what way, if you can answer that :)
I'm noticing people seem more willing to post comments.

    I like it so far.

I like it. I'd quite like to see the original as well, but then I always feel that way when an image is posted that is obviously photoshopped.

    Original.

I posted it here for a critique. I didn't know I should put it in the photoshop forum. Do they critique there too?
