Rebel XT set up - adapters?

I have a Rebel XT and I ordered some Alienbee's strobes and a cheap back light. I also ordered a radio trigger. What else do I need for this setup as far as adapters to make everything work? I think I read that the XT does not have a pc sync outlet and I'm still a little fuzzy on what this means exactly as I haven't received any of my stuff to start playing around. I'm just wondering if I need any adapters to for this set up.
