Went out on a shoot today and thought I would post some of the pictures. Was experimenting when i was out, the first two pictures are HDR's and the third is my first sttempt at a panorama! C&C would be greatly appreiciated.

Thanks for looking,

Ben

I definitely like the first two. The hillock you're standing on in the third one eats up too much of the scene. Did you subdue your colors in pp?

Thanks saltface! I think i will go and re-shoot the third picture and which picture are you talking about when you mentioned subduing colours?

Ben

The first on was a very nice composition!

For the second one it looks like the colors are very dull...I would try boosting the colors more or find a day that can give you a bit more light.

Great pictures! Keep it up!

Thanks Donald Harvey!

With the second one I to played with the colours a bit and tried and create a different type of mood wiithin the picture. I saw a technique where someone did a similar sort of thing with the colours...perhaps it doesn't work to well in this instance!

Okay, yes I did, I'll explain what i did. I found this technique photography magazine. It involves making a HDR imagine and opening the tone mapped imagine in photoshop. You duplicate the layer with the HDR imagine on it and convert it to black and white. With this layer on top of the HDR image I lowered the opacity to bring through bits of colour from the image underneath. What your also meant to do but i didn't on this particular image is to take a selection of the bits of the image you would colour in and increase the levels slightly so it brings them out a bit more.
